"How good and how sweet it is, Jesus, to dwell in your heart! All my thoughts and affections will I sink in the Heart of Jesus, my Lord. I have found the Heart of my king, my brother, my friend, the Heart of my beloved Jesus. And now that I have found Your Heart, Which is also mine, dear Jesus, I will pray to you. Grant that my prayer my reach You, may find entrance to Your Heart. Draw me to Yourself. O Jesus, Who are infinitely above all beauty and charm, wash me clean from my defilement; wipe out even the smallest trace of sin. If You, Who are all-pure, will purify me, I will be able to make my way into Your Heart and dwell there all my life long. There I will learn to know Your will, and find the grace to fulfill it. This dear Heart, the Sacred Heart of Jesus, is ever open to our own hearts. He makes His Heart for us a place of refuge, of joy, of peace, of infinite love. Today is the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart. Today especially we sing with St. Bernard of Clairvaux, with all the saints, with the Blessed Mother, the joys of His Heart! To run to that Heart, the source of all grace, to find it and rest forever in Him ... how sweet it is.

:: JMJ ::   :: The two main rules that set the foundation of home education in my family: 1) One is always learning (even without a book) 2) If one gets into a car, one is going on a field trip. And so, the other morning,  mom and I hopped into the Subaru and headed off on a summer field trip. Our errand was to pick up a jar of honey from a neighboring farm. While we left supplied with honey, we also spent our morning in the company of some very lovely goats and a sweet little summer farm kitchen that had been converted into a soap making space. I had a delightful time. My first goat memory is quite vivid. I was four, maybe five years old, and mom had taken me into a friend's barn to visit their goats. Being a chilly day, I was wrapped in my purple winter coat. :: JMJ ::  :: My suspicion is always confirmed a round this time of year  that the month of May is nought but an insufficient scrap of time into which is crammed an incredibly high concentration of chaotic thrill. Final exams, graduations, First Communions, parties,  auditions,  recitals, concerts ...  it seems that  all at once these events  impertinently  wedge themselves by way of ink into the declining whiteness of the calendar pages. I have gradually learned to accept this as 'May's way', and I have discovered that one can do nothing except simply enjoy every minute of the motley pandemonium. This year's month of May has been no exception, we are five days in now, and the month of our Lady has been filled to the brim.
