:: how precious is your love ::
:: JMJ ::
:: Being the little country bumpkin that I am, I can not imagine a more peaceful place to begin one's day than in the stillness of the cool morning air, surrounded by early morning birdsong. Sometimes those early morning retreats can bring a visitor or two. This morning Elijah kitty stopped by, but he soon found climbing the nearest locust tree more intriguing than playing with the ribbons of my breviary. The early morning has always been my favorite part of the day. I find so much peace and solitude in that quiet hour ... the birdsong, the wet dew on the grass, the soft blue of the sky, these and so many more treasures found in the early morning draw one's heart to reflect on the greatness of the Lord's love through the beauty of His creation.
"Your love, Lord, reaches to heaven;
Your truth to the skies.
Your Justice is like God's mountain,
Your judgements like the deep.
To both man and beast You give protection.
O Lord, how precious is Your love.
My God, the sons of men
find refuge in the shelter of Your wings." Psalm 36 ::
