:: JMJ ::

:: Every year, around February or March or so, I become aware of the jumble of busy summer months patiently waiting their turn just a few calendar pages away. And unconsciously, I brace myself. With firm resolve, I make my pre-summer resolution not to fall out of my sought after and recently attained rhythm and schedule of living.

Every Summer, around mid June or so, I find myself laughing at the thought of those once treasured schedules and plans. With the daily dose of summer sun, barefoot escapades, warm June raindrops, and lots of lemonade {true staples of summer} my firm wall of resolve crumbles into a field of spontaneity.

Whether it be simply taking a walk, enjoying the sound of rain, or watching a little brother race away on a newly constructed go-cart, each day adds a new and unexpected experience to appreciate, to love, to enjoy.

Spontaneity. I have named this the word of the season. ::

This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

{Psalm 118:24}
