starting small - day 3: magic elixir

May 30th, 2017 - This is the third day of a 40 day challenge: some pictures and words each day. Come back soon to see more posts!

~~~
My list of goals for this summer is endless. And with a possible mental breakdown looming overhead, I have one solution: tea. And lots of it.
A good day is broken into thirds for me, and with each third comes a different type of tea. The morning hours are best accompanied by black tea. Preferably Earl Grey, but sometimes a breakfast tea. My favorite black tea these days is Blue of London by Palais de Thés. I first discovered this Earl Grey in one of my favorite little coffee houses in Concord, MA. Each sip brings me back to my dear little New England. Harney and Sons' Organic Breakfast Black Tea is another morning favorite. And if the morning needs a little spice, Rishi's Masala Chai is just wonderful. But morning never lasts quite long enough, and soon it is the afternoon...
After lunch, I do believe that it is time for green and white teas. Rishi's Organic Orange Blossom tastes delightful in a mason jar with ice cubes and honey as a sweetener. Another yummy option is Letterbox's Angelic. Collectivo (a Milwaukee cafe and maybe my favorite place to be on a rainy day...) is where I first discovered this tea. While Blue of London brings me back to New England, Angelic reminds me of my home sweet home. These flavors are the perfect accompaniment to a busy summer afternoon ...
And when night comes, Chamomile is the tea to drink! Yogi is my favorite brand right now for Chamomile. This warm tea with a bit of honey in a cozy mug, coupled with a favorite book or two is the best way to end a day. . .
And so another busy (and tea-filled) day concludes before you even know it.
My tea horizons are sure to expand, so I'm certain this little tea schedule of mine will change eventually... but until then, I shall proudly polish my favorite tea cup, reach for my nearest favorite book, and sip the day away!
Cheers!
