It was the last day on my little 'vacation' before school begins. And in my estimation, it was the best, as we spent it in, by far, my favorite place on the East Coast, the sweet town of Concord, MA. We spent the majority of the afternoon wandering around Walden Pond, the historic retreat of the New England Naturalist and Author, Henry David Thoreau, walking, reflecting, and letting the wisdom of Thoreau seep in through the soles of our barefoot feet (well, my barefoot feet.) It was a beautiful day, and I loved it. College begins for me tomorrow, and I'm feeling very Bilbo Baggins-ish with such a great adventure looming ahead. It is a very emotionally charged time for me, and I'm left in a chaotic state of excitement, apprehension, anxiety, and all around overwhelmed giddiness. God's will be done! I have such faith that by His provident hand, great things lie ahead in my journey... I have copied a bit of Thoreau's wisdom into jour...
Yay!!😁
