starting small - day 21: family picture

He's hiding his smile to try and look cool. He doesn't need to try, I think. But he'll learn that someday. Plus, the smile is still there, in his eyes. Big sister has unashamedly thrown herself on his arm. A smile lighting her face, a giggle erupting just as the shutter clicks. These faces look the same and so does the joy in their eyes. Momma stands center, poised and cheerful. Her heart most appropriately placed at the center of the family. Her hands reach for sister's shoulder, but her eyes and smile turn to the camera. Daddy wraps two arms pulling his family in close. More smiles. I rush in from the my camera to underneath his arm, arriving just before the camera "clicks." We wait one moment, breathing, smiling, content. Family. 

And the moment is captured.

For those of you who do not know me, my name is Graci. I am Megan’s younger sister by five years, and I like to pride myself with the title of her best friend. It is my great joy to be a witness this afternoon at the marriage of Megan and Michael. I have known Megan for a very long time, and I cannot tell you how long she has been dreaming of, planning for, and reenacting this day.
